St. Tropez Advanced Bronzing Mousse

First up, this fast acting self tanner has been a game changer for me this winter and spring. Coming from the cheerleading world, I tanned in tanning beds 4-5 times per week during the cooler months and spent countless hours slathered in oil under the sun during the summer. But as I’ve gotten older, I’ve made skincare a priority and stopped tanning altogether. Now, I reach for this self tanner weekly and I absolutely love the healthy glow it gives my skin. The mousse is super simple to apply with an applicator mitt (this is critical!) and since it’s colored, you don’t have to worry about streaks or uneven skin tone. I leave it on for 3 hours for the darkest color, but you can rinse it off after 1, 2, or 3 hours depending on how dark you want it. This is the most natural looking self tanner I’ve tried and I highly recommend it!

BeautyBlender

I’ve wanted to try a BeautyBlender for so long, but could never bring myself to pay $20 for what seemed like just a tear-shaped sponge. But now that I own one, I must say that I can’t believe I waited this long to try it! My makeup really does look smoother and more blended. I’ve heard great things about this five pack (only $9), so I may try those in the future. But for now, I’ll pay $20 for smoother-looking skin!

NARS Blush Sephora Sale Double Ended Blush Powder Brush

NARS Blush

For some crazy reason, I stopped wearing blush when I graduated from college (I’m pretty sure I dropped the palette and it broke into pieces and I just never got a new one). But, what better time to invest in new, much-needed beauty products than during the Sephora Beauty Insider Sale?! So, I picked up this blush in the “orgasm” shade and it’s given me that joyful glow I’ve been missing! The “orgasm” shade is very pigmented (a little goes a long way) and it’s not too shimmery. I also picked up this double-ended brush to apply it and I’m so so happy with my Sephora Sale purchases!

Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Mascara Review Sephora Sale

Marc Jacobs Mascara

I am extremely picky when it comes to mascara – I look for a thick volumizing brush and an intense black color. Before finding this product, I would use 3 or even 4 coats of mascara to accomplish the thick, dramatic look I wanted. With this Marc Jacobs Volume Mascara, I only need 1 coat! If you’re looking for a voluminous, false lash look without the hassle, I highly recommend this mascara!

Ardell Wispies

Okay, I know that everyone raves about these fake eyelashes, but I just can’t jump on the bandwagon. This may be user error, but I struggle to apply them in a way that disguises them. My goal for eyelashes is to appear voluminous, but in a natural sort of way. These eyelashes do accomplish a dramatic look, but I don’t love that it’s so obvious I’m wearing fake lashes. If you’re looking for an affordable false eyelash solution, this may work for you. But for me, I’ll stick to natural lashes or professional eyelash extensions.

Naked “Reloaded” Palette

I’ve used Urban Decay’s Naked Palettes almost exclusively since high school, so when my smokey palette ran out of the 5 colors I used daily, I went on the hunt for a new one. I picked up the latest Naked “Reloaded” Palette from Sephora and I’m really liking this one! It has a nice blend of matte and metallic finishes, rich browns and golds (my eye shadow must-haves!), and neutral base colors. I’m only giving this one a 7 because there are other Naked Palettes I like better, like this one.

NARS Velvet Lip Glide Roseland

NARS Velvet Lip Glide

Since I have extremely dry lips year-around, I really struggle to find lip products that work for me. I chose this lip glide on a whim (without any research) because I loved the mauve-pink “roseland” color in the store. After a week of wearing it non-stop, I really do love and recommend it! But, one thing to note- the product description claims to provide a “long-lasting, highly-saturated lip color,” but I don’t necessarily agree. I do tend to reapply several times throughout the day and it’s not as pigmented as you’d think from that description. Regardless, I wear it by itself and on top of this lipstick and absolutely LOVE the look and feel.

Smashbox Primer

This is my first primer EVER and I feel like a new woman haha! It definitely helps my makeup stay fresh for longer, but my favorite part is how it evens my skin and allows my makeup to go on smoother. It has a very silky and soft texture, but it’s oil free so it won’t make you shiny or clog your pores. If I had to choose only one thing on this list, I’d choose the Smashbox primer. I cannot recommend this product enough!

Bobbi Brown Hydrating Face Cream

Like mother, like daughter… My mom uses Bobbi Brown products and her skin is absolutely flawless (I hope to have to skin like hers when I’m a mom!). So, I wanted to try out the line to see the anti-aging magic for myself. I’ve used this moisturizer in the morning and before bed for four months now, and I’m impressed! It absorbs easily into my skin and moisturizes without feeling greasy. I’ll admit that in the winter, I applied and reapplied some mornings to truly feel moisturized, but now that it’s warming up and isn’t as dry outside, this works perfectly for me. I’m only giving it 8 stars because it’s a bit pricey and I haven’t seen any anti-aging magic. I guess younger looking skin doesn’t happen overnight! I do recommend this product and I plan to repurchase!

Tory Burch Perfume

When I was in the Tory Burch store around Christmastime, I got a free sample of the “love relentlessly” perfume and absolutely fell in love with it. I used it sparingly to make the tiny tube last for months because I didn’t want to purchase the entire bottle haha! Can anyone relate to this?! So, when I saw the roller ball size in Sephora last week, I was SO excited to throw it in my shopping bag. The scent is very flirty and sensual, but it’s very light- not overwhelming at all!
