How to Look Cute & Stay Warm

Cozy Sweater // Felted Wool Hat // Paige Jeans // Suede Booties // Crossbody Bag // David Yurman Ring

Hey y’all, happy Tuesday! How’s everyone’s week going so far?! My week has been CRAZY already! I was supposed to fly to Michigan on Monday, but there’s a record breaking winter storm there so, it wasn’t safe for me travel (no really – they’re getting negative 12 degree temperatures and more than 10 inches of snow!!). So, I cancelled my flight to Michigan and booked a flight to sunny Houston, Texas! I really can’t complain about the chaos though because it’s 50 degrees and sunny here. The warmth is soo nice and it makes me miss living in Texas!

Unfortunately, it’s still really cold where I live so, today I want to talk about a wintertime fashion struggle: how to look cute and stay warm at the same time!

This is my first winter living in the North, so through my trial-and-error wintertime outfits, I’ve put together a few simple ways that I’ve managed to look cute and stay warm this winter:

Wear fleece lined leggings

Okay guys, this may sound crazy, but hear me out – I truly feel just as warm in fleece lined leggings as I do in jeans! I didn’t believe it until I tried it, but I wore these Pink Lily fleece lined leggings to a football game in December and my legs didn’t bother me AT ALL! And the best part – they’re only $16!! If you need something a little dressier but just as warm for the winter, I recommend these Paige Jeans. They’re the perfect shade, great fit, and they’re ON SALE!

Wear a hat

If you’re like me and can’t stand to be cold, throw on a hat with your outfit! You’d be surprised how keeping your head and ears warm makes a huge difference! I chose this felted wool hat, which I think is soo chic! It’s the perfect look and feel for where I live, but if you live somewhere with even colder winters, I recommend this beanie. It comes in 6 colors and it’s super easy to dress up or down!

Choose wool socks

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: if your hands, feet, and ears are warm, your whole body will feel warm! These wool socks were a Christmas gift last year and they are a game changer for the winter! Tuck them into your jeans and you’ll be set to go!

Can anyone else relate to this wintertime struggle?? What are some ways that you stay warm in the winter?!

xoxo,

Gabie
