Hi friends, happy Tuesday! Since Valentine’s Day is next week, I wanted to share some ideas for your Valentine! Whether or not you have a significant other, these ideas are sweet and simple for the people you love!

Make a DIY Edible Arrangement

Edible arrangements are my go-to gift for almost ANY occasion – birthday, congratulations, thank you, I love you, or just because! I gifted about 10 of them this year for people I love because they are such sweet and thoughtful gifts (pun intended haha)! I usually order them from Edible Arrangements because it’s so simple and hassle-free, but for Valentine’s Day, I want to make a DIY fruit bouquet for my Valentine! There’s just something so heartfelt about putting the time and effort into a homemade gift – am I right??

Follow along through my Instagram story on Valentine’s Day to see the step-by-step process! I’m so excited to try this! I hope the homemade edible arrangement turns out to be beautiful and delicious!

Write Reasons Why I Love You Notes

This one is my absolute favorite because it’s super simple, but SO meaningful. As I mentioned in my 23 Things You Didn’t Know About Me post, my love language is words of affirmation, so naturally, I’m drawn to the reasons why I love you gift. Expressing your feelings and gratitude is so important in building strong relationships with your friends, family, and significant other. And being on the receiving end of a love note just feels so good!! Ryan used to write me love notes like this ALL the time and I’d get so smiley and giddy! It’s no wonder I fell for him!

So, have fun with this one! You can simply list the reasons on a card or leave a trail of sticky notes with different reasons on each one. I’m planning to write my reasons on the back of my favorite pictures!

Breakfast in Bed

Who wouldn’t want to wake up to the smell of sizzling bacon, warm maple syrup, and orange juice?! Breakfast in bed is a fun way to spoil your Valentine and indulge together!

If you don’t live with your Valentine, you can still surprise them with breakfast or any homemade treat! When Ryan and I were in college, I surprised him with breakfast at his dorm and he loved it! Later that day, he surprised me with cupcakes and I was overjoyed too! Food by surprise is the perfect Valentine’s Day gift!

I hope you enjoyed these ideas and got a little Valentine’s Day inspo! I’d love to hear from you guys! What are some things you’re planning for Valentine’s Day?

Go show some love to your people!!

xoxo,

Gabie

P.S. I do realize that 2 out of 3 of my Valentine’s Day recommendations are food-related… you now know the way to my heart!!
